FIA to Vote on Mosley in June
Max Mosley, the president of the FIA, under pressure from many places around the world to resign after the News of the World newspaper in Britain published a story about him involved in sex and games - with a possible Nazi theme to them - has proposed that the FIA senate convene an extraordinary assembly to decide on his future.
"The FIA can confirm that the members of the Senate have unanimously approved the proposal of the President of the FIA," the FIA said in a statement, "that further to the recent press coverage relating to his private life, an Extraordinary General Assembly should be convened. The meeting will be held on June 3, 2008, in Paris. The General Assembly will include a vote of confidence by secret ballot."
The story has been moving so quickly over the past couple of weeks that it will be interesting to see if it somehow eventually moves faster than the planned meeting - which is in eight weeks from now....
