The grid opens at 1:30 PM for a 2:00 race start, and the mechanics all enter the track together to take out their equipment to service the cars on the grid. The equipment and extra sets of tires travel on trolleys from each team's garage area to the grid. Minutes before the teams around allowed to enter the grid, the mechanics all standing in a line up waiting for the go-ahead to enter the grid together.
