It is impossible to give a photo display of the Retromobile show in Paris without having at least one photo of a Bugatti. This one was the Type 57 sports car, built in 1934. "If I was asked to give my opinion of the best all round sports car.... I should without hesitating whatever say it was the T57 Bugatti," said Sir Malcolm Campbell in The Field, in Sept. 1937. The Type 57 was the last truly new model that came from the Molsheim factory in France, born of the genius of Ettore and Jean Bugatti. This one belonged to Gaston Decollas, and he raced with it in rallies, notably in the Paris-Nice in 1935.
