Lewis Hamilton continued to get ever closer to victory, and he continued to finish on the podium. But this time, he showed his frustration at the crown jewel of Formula 1 events. His McLaren Mercedes team changed his strategy in mid-race, and later told him to back off with his attacks on his teammate, Fernando Alonso, who led the race. The result: Alonso won and Hamilton finished second. "I've got No. 2 on my car, I am the No. 2 driver," he said with a certain sense of frustration. Things would soon turn around for the British rookie sensation.

Monaco was the fifth race of the season, and Lewis Hamilton was up to his fourth consecutive podium finish - and he would do another in Monaco.
