Tony George Press Conference Announcing End to U.S. Grand Prix
Tony George, CEO of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, gave a press conference on 12 July 2007 to announce that the U.S. Grand Prix, which had taken place at the speedway since 2000, would not return there in 2008. He discussed in some detail the reasons a deal fell through with Bernie Ecclestone, the F1 promoter, and what the prospects were for the race to return in the future.
