Daniel Audetto on Super Aguri's Role as an F1 B-Team

On the Team's Use of an Arrows Chassis in 2006

By , About.com Guide

On why the team was attacked by other teams this season for allegedly using the Honda F1 team's chassis from last season, while everyone knew that Super Aguri had used in its first season, in 2006, the Arrows chassis of a few years earlier - and no one complained:

If you are in 11th place or you are five or six seconds from the pole position, then nobody bothers. When they see that you're competitive, the Pirhana Club tries to kill the small fish. Because the fish can become too big, then it's a problem - you can't kill him anymore. This is business. You're not supposed to be the good boy. It's better to be the mean guy. Because then you are respected. This is a tough business to be in, Formula 1, and we have to fight with all of our resources. That's why people try to penalize us or to take us to arbitration or to protest. But they will not stop us.

On whether Honda is only selling engines to the team or whether it is a partner or sponsor as well:

It's a partner, a technical partner. It's better to define Honda as a technical partner, it is much more important than a sponsor. Because if I had to pay exactly what it costs Honda to supply the engines that we have, then it would be much more than what I pay. So Honda is really our biggest partner. Without Honda we could not be here.
